Disappointed
I have been on other designers blogs when they have been complaining about handing out a freebie and then not getting hardly any Thank You's. I now know how they feel.
I was pleased to see 10 people had taken a moment just to say thanks but then I went to the download and was amazed. I only put this on as of last night and there has been over 100 + people who have downloaded it. I can't imagine how many will be taking it once the holiday is over and they are back to their computers.
Im not sure why I give things away for free. I may have to rethink this. I mean I only ask 3.00 for the WHOLE KIT (and they are BIG kits) but I like to also give out a little something free for those of you who come to my blog and read what I rant on about. Maybe I need to start charging for the quick pages also or for that matter any thing that I make.
Im sorry to COMPLAIN, but I just had to vent or I was going to explode. LOL
Thanks for listening and as always,
Take care of yourselves and those around you.
TTFN
Love, Laura

I am very sorry....I am probably one of those people that downloaded and didn't say thank you. I do thank you very very much for the freebies. I get in a zone sometimes and have more than one thing going on...downloading-unzipping-moving files around....etc. I want you to know that I have purchased a quite a few things online since I started digital scrapbooking. I agree with all designers...it is definately a "Give and take"....the fans SHOULD give a little back to the digi world when taking so much from it. To be honest...there are "freebies" all over the internet, but only the Great designers; such as yourself, will keep me coming back. Sorry about the rudeness and again "THANK YOU".
Laura:
I first found your blog today and since I fell in love with your plaid kit, I have spent the past couple hours tracing the links and downloading them. I am taking the time now to thank you for providing your wonderful work for us for free. I for one really appreciate it, but many times fail to leave a comment or a thankyou. Sometimes it's cause I have to leave for work, or go to bed, or whatever else us busy people have to do and leave the computer while the last d/l is doing it's thing. Today, was a lazy lay-around type day, so I was able to actually make a comment. I apologize to all designers who I have downloaded "gifts" from and failed to say TY. Please forgive me for allowing my real life to dictate to me instead of my conscience. LOL
Please keep designing and sharing some of your work with us "lurkers"
Barb
So sorry, Laura. I~m feeling very ashamed. I've been downloading from this blog since your Plaid Kit, and I feel sorry to say, I've never said Thank You. I think we are always in a hurry and we always think someone else will say Thank You for us. So sorry about that.
THANK YOU!!!!
And this is nor just to keep you from giving up. Itá a heartfelt thank you, whatever you may decide.
Silvia
Your vent is understandable!!! I am sorry for you that so many have not taken the time to just say "thanks" for what they download. I usually add my thank you while the file is downloading so I get two things done at once! It really doesn't take that long people for all the effort that designers, such as Laura, put into their work. It is the very least we can do to leave a comment. Laura, I hope things improve here!
Laura, I just discovered your blog today and I think your Americana QP (and the full kit) are just darling. Thank you, so much, for offerng these QP's as freebies.
I agree with what has been said in the previous comments. I know that I have been guilty of the occasional "hit and run" w/o taking a moment to say thank you. My online time is extremely limited, but that is no excuse. I know that I would not tolerate that kind of rudeness from my two boys. So, thank you for reminding me to mind my manners.
I also wanted to take a moment to say that, though you may be a relative newbie, you work is really nice. I look forward to seeing more of it.
i'm sorry i've never said thanks
i DL, but haven't figured out my
new psp9 yet to make a LO. but i
appreciate that i have the freebies
to learn with, and when it all comes together for me, i will post
a LO. haven't figured out how to post a thanks to some blogs either.
nevertheless, i will be more on top of the thanks thing.
I just found you =) And wanna say thanks today! I love these quick pages, cause I'm usually in a hurry all the time and I am not that good at designing my pages, although I'm still trying and practicing. Too embarrassed to post my layouts though ;)
Anyway, thanks again!
I have you in my favorites and thought I would check to see if you had anything new. You do! :)
Thank you for the QP's. I love patriotic, but I especially love the antique Americana look. These will go great with pictures of my son doing Flag ceremonies with his scout troop.
Thank you for sharing.
Hi there!
Well today is my first ever visit to your space, but not likely my last. I want to DITTO all the kind, caring & loving notes from your 'throng' about what's gone on before I 'discovered' you. I too appreciate the 'goods' and that they're available for free. Otherwise I couldn't make anything at all. So thank you for your tireless determination & dedication, it is much appreciated!
Also, your notes are very inspirational, so I enjoyed reading them, too!
Kindly,
Ila
Thanks for the wonderful kit - this is Great!
You're SO talented!!
Laura
I just got home from a 3 week vacation and was still able to receive your 4th of July QP's. They are absolutely fabulous! Thanks so much for the Wonderful QP's I may put them to use right away as soon as I can pick a couple photos from our 4th this year. We spent it in SD. It was a gorgeous place. Thanks for sharing these again and your time in making them. Blessings~
