I know I said in the begining of this that I wouldn't be one of those bloggers that leave you hanging for days on end. :(

Well guess what I did, SHAME ON ME.

Life just got soooo crazy lately, and the time just got away from me. I have been so busy that I have only had time to design stuff for The Digi Dreamer. I haven't gotten a thing done for myself. Im currently working on a back to school kit and then Im going to do another summer kit, but this one will be more for gardening and end of summer stuff. Not sure exactly but it's slowly forming itself in my brain, OH OH, thats' a scary place to be, let me tell you.

Anyway I just wanted to take a minute and say HEY, and let you all know that Im thinking about you all and should have some nice freebies on the site shortly.

I hope your all having a wonderful summer and would love to hear about all the great things that your doing, so post a comment, it might be inspirational for the upcoming summer kit. WHO KNOWS????

Ok here it is, you've seen the quick page sample, and it seems you like it.

Well here is the kit I used for the page.

Summer Dayz

This kit is actually so big I did the kit and an add-on. There are 104 pieces to this kit and that's not like "four corner pieces just turned different ways to count as four" I mean there are 104 different pieces to this kit.

I love the way it turned out. I actually started this by doing a team thing and once
I was done with that kit I just kind of continued on with my own stuff.

These colors are so inspiring to me, they just scream SUMMER. I really hope you enjoy this kit. It should be available in the stores tomorrow but I'll be sure and come in here and give a holler when it is ready for purchase.

Oh big news at The Digi Dreamer, we just had a new gal join our team and she will be also selling her items in the boutique so be sure and go in there and check out all the new and wonderful stuff.

Well here it is, another freebie. It's from a kit I'm currently working on "Summer Dayz". It's bright and wonderful. It's also been saved in .png format so your pictures should slide nicely behind the two frames. I really hope you enjoy this.

I am so busy lately but having such a great time. I'm currently working on a wonderful GRUNGE theme kit with the gals over at The Digi Dreamer. It's going to be one of our free give aways so be sure and come check it out next month. This month is the "Nautical" kit that was the first one I helped with. We're currently giving it out as a daily download, so get over there and start downloading it out. Im very proud of our work. And the price couldn't be any better. LOL (Free is a very good price) and remember while your there please check out the boutique, it is slowly starting to fill up with some fantastic things, I know there is something there for each of you.

Here's a new Kit I just finished

Ok, I'm stuck on this Motorized theme. LOL This one is called "Wild Blue Yonder".

I love the little airplanes, I must say though, I have never claimed at being an artist, SO NO LAUGHING. :) I'm not sure I'm actually done with this kit, as usual I think it needs something, and IM thinking it's maybe an alpha and maybe some stitching. I also am going to be making a couple QP's so be on the look out for a little freebie coming your way.

As always please give me your feedback, ie.. do you like it, what does it need, and would you buy it. Those are the answers I'm looking for. Please be nice but honest.

That's all for now, I'm BEAT. We were out in the sun working on the building we have from Wednesday until last night. I am burnt (literally) and tired so I'm off to bed.

I was asked to start designing for The Daily Scrap. This is such another great opportunity for me. Now I have two great places to showcase my work and talent.

I have to admit, I never thought I would be doing something like this. I originally only got into designing because I was having a heck of a time finding the kits for little boy pictures.

WHO KNEW. As my hubby is in the back ground yelling "I DID" "I DID". :) What a sweetheart.

Well that's about it for now, we are so busy getting ready for Mountain Days.

When It's over this monday, I'll tell you how it went.

HAPPY 4th!!!!

Well as usually I have been - busy - busy - busy. I just finished another new kit. I am really excited about this one.

Im sorry, this one is not free, but it is for sale at 25% percent off. You can go here for the elements and here for the papers. As you can see it is yet ANOTHER boy kit. I just can't seem to get away from them. LOL -- I really had a blast making this one, it took me back to the days when Jr. was a little boy and had a whole city made out in back of the house. Roads and bridges made out of found pieces of wood, and all of his cars and trucks set up just so. He would spend hours building roads and moving those trucks around. Oh for those simpler times.

Oh and usual for me, after I finished the kit I began putting a couple quick pages together and decided the kit needed some photo prongs and a metal brad so I am now making an add-on that should be ready tomorrow. I don't think my kits are every really done,. LOL

Well that's it from here, I really want to take a minute and wish all of you a safe and happy 4th of July. Be sure and drive saftly this weekend there are alot of "crazy" drivers out there.

Disappointed

I am so sorry that I made any of you faithful readers feel bad. I was venting in regards to those who don't even take the time to read what we write on these blogs, they just download and run. I know that we all have busy lives and sometimes we just don't have time. I myself have been guilty of this. I am again so sorry if I hurt any of your feelings. That wasn't my intentions.

I do want to say though, that I appreciate all the wonderful comments that I did get. It's really nice to hear that my work is well liked and that you are using my pages in your albums.

I hope you all have a wonderful 4th and if you want go on over to The Digi Dreamer where all my stuff is going for $1.50 through the 6th, then it's going to go up to it's regular price of $2.00.

Again thanks for all the wonderful comments and I promise to continue to show case my new kits as I finish them and also hand out some really nice freebies along the way.

You know--- I need to vent.

I have been on other designers blogs when they have been complaining about handing out a freebie and then not getting hardly any Thank You's. I now know how they feel.

I was pleased to see 10 people had taken a moment just to say thanks but then I went to the download and was amazed. I only put this on as of last night and there has been over 100 + people who have downloaded it. I can't imagine how many will be taking it once the holiday is over and they are back to their computers.

Im not sure why I give things away for free. I may have to rethink this. I mean I only ask 3.00 for the WHOLE KIT (and they are BIG kits) but I like to also give out a little something free for those of you who come to my blog and read what I rant on about. Maybe I need to start charging for the quick pages also or for that matter any thing that I make.

Im sorry to COMPLAIN, but I just had to vent or I was going to explode. LOL

Just in time for the 4th!!!

I have been sooooo busy with this new adventure Im on. LOL It's unbelivable how much time it takes to be on a team and also try and get your work done and uploaded and post into the store and and and............

Seriously, I am having a wonderful time. Im pulling my hair out a little due to the slow internet speeds Im dealing with. Gotta love dial up> The other ladies on the design team are the best, hey, they are willing to deal with all my drama so they must be wonderful. Just last night I was kicked off the internet 5 times while trying to upload my newest kit. Out of 6 ziped files only 3 made it into the store folder. OMG it is awful.

But enough about that.

Having Technical Difficulties

First let me say Im so sorry it took a few days to get this last link out to you. Im not really proud of this work but it is part of the original kit so here it is.

I have already started looking back on my original work and thinking "what was I thinking" and the having this hugh urge to go back and "revamp" or "re-Work" some of my stuff, but I just keep telling my self to move forward. I am so excited to get my work in the store at TDD and see what happens. I mean a freebie is a freebie and who doesn't like those, but actually paying to get my work, well that's a horse of a different color. (I never have understood that analogy) As soon as they are in store I'll be sure and post it here on my blog so you all can go over for a peek.

I don't know if you noticed but I put a new "BLINKIE" on my blog. Im a HUGH Johnny Depp fan and I love him as Jack Sparrow. I can't wait for the new movie to come out, a def. must see. I have also put up a "Are you a Pirate" Now I know that any of you that come here would never do these things but please do continue to show support and DON'T BE A PIRATE. I know that a lot of designers are having a heck of a time with this, so quite a few of our freebies are disapearing. It's really to bad.

Link 14 and a nother new preview

Hey all, I have been really busy with this one. I really hope you all like it. It will be for sale over at TDD later in the week. I have to get the "store" stuff figured out first but as soon as it's over there I'll let you know.

As you can see there is a ton of stuff in it, and it will be perfect for this upcoming 4th. I felt it lended it self to alot of uses though. Im not sure if you can see but I did "CLOSE UPS" of the textures I used on the ribbons and the papers. I really like the way the "sewn" paper came out. It really looks like it's a blanket that has been crossed stiched. There is a ton of stuff in this kit, I sort of went nuts, I got started and couldn't figure out where to stop. (If it hadn't been that my neck started to ache a bit I don't know if I would be done yet LOL)

Hey, for those of you who asked, THERE ISN"T A NAME. This kit was never really named, I've just always called it either the "first one", or "the plaid one". Great names huh?

I could use some help though. If anyone knows of a good place to have an avatar done I would really appreciate the input. I have been to the "doll maker" sites and haven't like them, I am so not a sexy vixen type. LOL :) Have you seen some of those dolls??? I am more the SAHM, you know, taxi service, head bottle washer, and finder of all things lost. I really want a avatar that resembles me so I can put together a nice "LOGO" to go on my kits. Any help would be so appreciated.

Oh I do have good news. I officially became a TDD creative team member, meaning that I sent my first kits off to them and now have "Creative Team Member" right under my name at the site. I feel so important. Really, it gave me a tickle to see it. I was really anxious to see if the kits could make it over and they did, YEA ME!!!!! Hopefully you'll come over and check things out. My understanding is these kits will be given out the first part of the month to subscribers and I'm also going to do some stuff for challenges and a couple mini kits.

Well I best be off. It's past my bed time and I have a couple other kits to dream up tonight. Man I love this.

First let me say Thank You so much for the kind words. Im so glad you like the newes kit Im working on. Im hoping to have it in the store over at TDD by the end of the week, that is if all goes well with the uploading process. I haven't sent anything that Ive been working on over there yet and trust me when I say "I AM SOOO NERVOUS".

I feel like a complete idiot. I have to say my designs are getting better and my learning curve with using the programs is coming up quickly but as far as me an computers, OH NO. We so don't get along. I was just getting the hang of using mytepdir and YSI and now I have to learn how this new program works.. DUH, can you say true BLONDE MOMENT????

Im about finished with the kit I showed last night, and Im in the middle of "Spirit of America" it's going to be a 4th of July kit. I think it's coming along "FABULOUSLY". Im really hoping that you all do come over and at least look at the kits that I post over at the store. I promise that as I'm learning my prices will reflect that. I doubt I'll have anything over there that's much more than 5.00 to 6.00 dollars. Alot of it will probably be cheaper. Of course I can't promise anything once Im famous...... LOL oh that's a good one. My DH has been going on about this for a few days now. "Oh honey you'll be great." Boy, you have to love a man who only see's the good in what your doing. He is a KEEPER.

Well here I am finally. I am sorry I missed yesterday. I have been really busy trying to get my prior commitments out of the way.

Well here we are again. Another day another link.

Update with TDD. Im having such a good time designing for this wonderful group. Im really excited to see how this "collaboration" comes together. It is harder than I thought working with other people. When it's just yourself you know what you want in a kit and how it's going to look like pretty much before you even start working on it. It may get "tweeked" a bit in production but you usually have a good idea what your doing. With this you have to make your work "Blend" with someone else's. Hard but FUN!!!!

Link 7 and "I think" Great News

If you work hard at something you just never know what can happen...

I am so excited!!!! The FABULOUS gals over at THE DIGI DREAMER have asked me to join their design team. I have been visiting this wonderful site ever since I started looking into Digital Scrapbooking. Their site is filled with great challenges, tons of "help" forums and and just plain fun. They also have a "free" (and we all know how I feel about free) daily download. Every day for a month you can sign in and download a piece of their showcased kit. And trust me these kits are always worth it. Best of all is the STORE, it's just been revamped, has some cute kits in it and I think they are really reasonably priced.

You really need to just go check them out, I guarantee you won't be disappointed. :)

I will continue to offer my freebies through this blog and I will also be showing my new work here. The only difference is that the "Link" will take you through them to get my stuff. You can also sign up over there and get the Group projects that I'll be helping with.

Im really excited and I hope that I will see some of you over there once Im up and running. (it takes a bit to get all the wrinkles worked out)

A new site and Link 6

By now you should all realize that I not only like to show my work and hand out freebies but I also like to relay any new things I have found out about on the web.

Today a good friend of mine introduced me to HELLO. Its part of Picasa and Blogger. It's a site that allows you to upload your pictures then once your friends or family have time to view them not only do they get to see them but they can "CHAT" with you online about them. For those of us with family spread all over this is so great. I'm so excited to use this, as you know my son just graduated from High School so I am getting those pictures developed (I know, no I don't own a digital camera yet) once I have them I can upload them and then have his grandparents and his aunts and uncles all get on line at the same time and chat. Can you tell I LOVE this site.

The rains are continuing to fall on us, I just keep looking out the windows and I swear I can HEAR them darn berry bushes growing. They are such a bother but all part of COUNTRY LIVING. ;)

Im getting ready to start work on a new kit, something to do with fathers, in honor of my daddy. I miss him and my mom so much. We are really trying hard to get out of here and move down closer to them. Living with sunshine would also be a bonus. LOL

Evening all. After this mornings fiasco my DH and I just "hung" together not doing much of anything. We got most of the house work done, cried about the out side, (having 5 acres is not so much fun this time of year, there is SOOOOO MUCH TO DO) and just enjoyed each others company.

I know Im a bit early, ok half a day, but I have a ton to get done tomorrow so I wont have time to get this uploaded in the morning.

OMG, (this is so not the way I would like to start this today) I have been at my computer since 8 am and it is now 1 pm. It has taken this long just to upload the two zips I'm sending today. I can't believe how slow my server is, but this is what you going to get today. So far you should have two papers, stapled ribbon and buttons , 1 alpha and now these torn pieces. Be sure and grab what you don't have the links are about out of time.

Here's the newest kit. Obviously it's a Birthday Theme. Any Ideas on name would be appreciated. Im not sure if this one link a day is going to work. By the time I finish each kit upload I'll have a ton of kits still ready to go.

I had this kit finished in a day and a half. This digital designing is quite addicting. I also decided to upload just a sample of the ribbons, they have a great texture (I still haven't gotten the "shoestring" texture down yet) and I love the little sayings. (opps, just realized that I need to make sure there isn't any "extra space" or you get this wonderful black area, Sorry ) LOL ;)

I also included some stitching this time, a new experience for me, Its not hard just really time consuming.

I am so not an artist but I decided to "hand draw" my bow on the present and the "fluff" around the hat. They are not that great but hey, its called doodling. Oh, speaking of doodling I have just finished some Seasonal doodles, I should probably zip them up and offer them here. Let me know if any one would be interested. Also let me know which kit you would like me to start with next after the current one is done. (There are 16 links to the first) I really am sorry it is taking so many links but it just takes SOOOOO LONGGGGG to upload these images.

I sure wish my ISP was faster, I would so love to just offer up the whole kits for downloads. I think my DH has decided to look into a new satelite company that's seems to be resonable in price.

I heard rumor that there might be a problem with YSI, so be sure and let me know if you can't get these links, I'll be happy to try out some other downloader sites.

Here is the second kit, well actually the third. :)

Im calling it Shabby Love, but again if anyone comes up with a good name I'll give the complete kit to you. There are still some elements Im working on for this one and Im thinking of using Atomic Cupcakes "ChipBoard" for the alpha. I'll probably use a "romantic" alpha implimenting the Chipboard to give it the "shabby" feel.

I haven't asked lately but "How is everyone else coming along with there stuff"? I haven't heard from some of you for awhile. If you have any questions about something be sure and ask. I have a couple of WONDERFUL people who have been helping me along on this journy. I've been dealin with "shoestrings" (I love the look) and also Rope. A great lady has been giving me wonderful help with both of these.

OK Im off to do some more work. Remember to ask questions if you want. We can only get better if we ask what we don't know.

New Kit Preview

Hey all. I think I have finally figured out my ISP dilemma. Should have a answer by first of the week. Boy I hope so. I so want to offer some of these things for freebies.

Here is the latest kit, It's just called Bold and Bright, if anyone comes up with a better name I'll send the complete kit to you. (Bartering at it's finest)

We've been so busy with graduation. It was wonderful to see my son walk down that aisle and see the proud look on his face as they handed him that diploma. I of course couldn't see much as I was crying like a baby. Such a MOM.

Well I really hope you like this new kit and as I said "HOPEFULLY" I'll be offering up a sample of both kits within the next week. Keep your fingers crossed and Take care. TTFN Love, Laura

I just have been EXTREMELY busy. Im still trying desperate to get my ISP figured out. As of right now I have NO SPEED at all to upload any of my work so that you can DL it. I am currently getting only 34 kbps. Dial up is 45-50. That's how slow I am. I can show you the other kit I just started, or at least some of the new kit. Hopefully I'll get this problem figured out soon.

This is what you get for living out in the middle of NO WHERE. It's beautiful, sitting out on the porch and looking at the open views, but as far as daily conveniences, for get it.

I have to drive over 30 minutes for groceries, and it's well over an hour to get to a "REAL" town to do any good shopping. We also have no TV, no Cable and no DSL. It's like living in a cave.

Ok maybe I over exaggerated a bit but it is kind of secluded. Oh well it does give me lots of time to work on my kits.

Well that's it, just wanted you to know I haven't been ill or fallen of the face of the earth, just live on the edge. LOL

Oh what a week~~~ First news --- I got a DRAWING BOARD --- It's not a Wacom but it's awfully close. It is the coolest thing in the world. I LOVE IT!!!!! I have never sat for so long in front of my computer before. Between getting this kit done and playing with my new toy, You know I think my bum spread at lease a few inches

I apologize to any who came to see new stuff and help hints. I really wanted to get this done.

AND HERE IT IT!!!! My very first complete kit.

This is the first of many, I hope. My next biggy is learning FIBERS!!!! Im going to start first thing tomorrow and search the web for any "Tutorials" on making fiber. I love the look. Im also trying to learn all the short cuts. Ctrl C for copy Ctrl V for paste, those sort of things. I wish there was a book that was for this application, most of the books I have read are for fixing pictures not really creating scrap kits. If you know of any please let me know, I'll be sure and post it on my next blog.

Now I know there's no "Button" for downloading yet but once I get my faster server up and running later this week I will get one on. PROMISE! Until then please give me your honest opinion, I truly believe that we only grow when we listen to the truth, so be kind but if you have suggestions please let me know.

I want to give thanks ahead of time to those of you who take the time to comment, I know we're all busy but just a few words would be great.

WHEW, Now that this is done I can go and see if I still have a hubby somewhere around here. :) Of course that's only til the morning when I'll probably be back on the computer and starting another kit. Giggle

Couldn't help Myself

I knew once I sat down at my computer I would start fooling around with PSE3 again. Ok I HATE the colors but... I learned about making "paper templates" basically its just playing around on a clear background with paintbrushes making designs. Once you have something you like save it as a template. Next just create another layer, flood it with color and change the transparency. There you go, a template you can use again and again. COOL huh?

Next all I did was take bits of my paper for ribbon and made one with a "knot" in it.

As for the ribbon slides, well I cheated. I confess, I was trying all day to get the metal look with all the suggestions I had received on the internet sites. None of them were what I wanted. So I went to alien skin and downloaded a "trial" version. OMG, I love this. I am so mad that I did this because now I don't think I will ever be happy with out them. They are SOOOO COOOOL!

Not sure if I like the way the buttons turned out and not sure yet how to make "FIBER" to put on them. Im also still trying to fix the "Shadow effect" on the clip.

Well after a FULL day at the keyboard I am off to bed to let my fingers rest. I know why a lot of the designers are using one of those drawing pads. Save on the fingers with the mouse.

Truly frustrating day

OK, nothing new to show for today, but I did find out "THERE IS NO FREE PLUG IN FOR METAL" There are some wonderful ones out there that you have to pay a bunch for but if you know me, THAT'S NOT HAPPENING!! LOL

I did find a wonderful site, www.photoshopelementsuser.com They have a great forum that you can use and get some great people to answer questions for you. I went in with my "METAL" question and got some great answers. Of course you can also sign up for there newsletter and with that you can also get some free plug in downloads, which the metal one is there, but I am determined to figure out a way to do this for free.

You may wonder what my adversion is to paying for plug ins and such, well I figure I already spent a fortune for the program and I just can't see spending more for something I can figure out for free. "It's the spend thrift in me" My mom would be so proud.

There was another site www.optikvervelabs.com that has a wonderful plug in, Virtual Photographer, I have just started playing with this one and am so impressed already. "I wonder if these sites are ok with me giving out this info" HUMMM OH well it's for a good cause.

OK that's about it for today, as soon as I conquer the METALS problem I will definitely pass the information along to anyone who is watching my blog, all of the 1 or 2 people I've told about it. Hey who knows maybe more will come. What's that saying "IF YOU BUILD HE WILL COME" never know.

Another Day - More Playing

I tell you what, It's not easy doing this Digi Creating!!! I have searched all day to find a way to have my elements look like silver or gold. I still haven't found anything I like in PSE3 yet. Ill keep on looking and see if I can come up with something.

It was a beautiful day here so I was out most of the morning but did finally get some computer time this evening. Here are a couple more papers I made and a ribbon slide. This is one of my hubby's favorite sayings. "He who dies with the most toys WINS" Im not happy with the "metal" look I found. I also made an eyelet but can't figure out how to change the color of it with out losing the slopes and highlights??? HUM going to have to work on that somemore tonight.

Im also trying to figure out some more with this site. Still not sure how big to(or small) to make my previews so they load somewhat quickly but still big enough for you to see the details.????
Another HUMMMM. I also want to change some of the colors of the blog and but some kind of header in. Boy Im getting into this much more than I thought I would.

Not sure what Im doing but I guess Ill learn as I go. I wanted to do this so I can get feed back about the kits Im learning to make and the pages I produce. So in the near future you see what I have made and what I have produced.
